Silent Edge and Ashridge are currently working together
as Research Partners.

ISMM - Institute of
Sales and Marketing Management and their BESMA
The ISMM create standards for the sales industry and awarding
sales qualifications. The Institute aims for universal recognition
of sales as a profession which requires complex capabilities
developed over a number of years.
The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) is the UK’s
only professional body for salespeople. Founded in 1966 to promote
standards of excellence in sales and sales management and to enhance
the status and profile of sales as a profession, the ISMM has been
the authoritative voice of selling and the custodian of sales
standards, ethics and best practice for over 35 years.
ISMM chose Silent Edge to judge some of the British Excellence in
Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA) that were granted in January
2006.
Cranfield University
Silent Edge is working with on Cranfield Business School with
research activities into sales skills and behaviour. One piece of
researched conducted early in 2007 revealed that ‘only 12% of field
salespeople demonstrate best practice skills in live sales
transactions’. Cranfield and Silent Edge are working on additional
research projects - keep an eye on the recent news page where we’ll
publish the results!
Reed Learning
Reed Learning Sales Courses have been expanded to incorporate a
range of new role-based training programmes endorsed by Silent Edge.
These courses offer Silent Edge sales performance improvement
programmes and single workshops for Sales Directors and MDs who
don’t have a big enough sales team or budget for our bespoke
programmes.
