Goal
Mapping
Silent Edge has partnered with LIFT International to market
and deliver their ‘Goal Mapping’ product to the corporate sector.
Goal Mapping is a method developed by Brian Mayne from LIFT
International to powerfully embed personal and career goals within
the subconscious mind to achieve success. Learning the most
effective way to set goals is the number one prerequisite for
success in any endeavour, for any individual, team, and
organisation.
How it Works
Setting goals is a natural function of the brain.
Throughout recorded history, the most successful individuals have
been those who've learnt to develop their natural goal-setting
ability into a powerful skill for achievement.
The Goal Mapping technique puts strong focus on visualisation skills
via imagery – tapping into the language of the subconscious to
deliver life-changing results by combining right-brain pictures with
left-brain words.
The major path to your subconscious is through
the right brain and pictures. The left brain and words have a much
weaker connection, which is why a goal that is communicated only in
words must be re-written hundreds of times to achieve the same power
as one created through pictures or symbols.
Individuals are required to map out their key goals using pictures
linking the how and who will help them to achieve these

Why Goal Mapping?
Training & Development workshops focus on developing
skills and knowledge gaps identified through the objective
Evaluation sessions, this is vital for achieving success; however,
studies have shown that not everyone benefits from training alone in
the same way: 1 will excel, 3 will be average and 1 will require
additional coaching.
Why?
Drive, Attitude and Confidence affects the rate in which skills
and knowledge are processed and applied and affects the rate in
which we excel in our job and life. Developing your drive,
attitude and confidence (alongside skills) will be the determining
factor in how successful you are in sales.
Mapping out a learning & development path to
close the skills and knowledge gaps identified from the objective
evaluation, will provide the impetuous to drive you forward and
begin to connect you with the motivation to do so. Goal mapping
identifies the route, reinforces and or reconnects you to your deep
motivation, or drive to attain the end goals and targets – where do
I want to be, how will I get there. The
‘I’ being the key.
It works for the individual as it maps out the
reasons for them to change. The final stage is down to them,
‘action’ and it is proven that people who set goals are more likely
to achieve them than those who do not. Best Practise workshops
provide space to refresh and learn new skills and techniques.
Together as a whole they provide the powerful package for
sustainable growth and development. |
